Plain-language terms for using this site and buying our products. If something here doesn't make sense, write to us — we'd rather explain than hide.

Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept that offer when we charge your card and confirm the order by email. Until then, we may decline an order — for example, if a piece is unexpectedly damaged in finishing, or if we suspect fraud.

Pricing and currency

Prices on this site are in Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR) and include any applicable taxes. International orders may incur import duties on arrival, which are the buyer's responsibility.

Returns

If a non-living item arrives damaged or doesn't match its description, write to us within 14 days of delivery and we'll arrange a replacement or refund. Living plants are excluded from general returns — see our shipping & returns page for the full plant-specific policy.

Care and the limits of life

A sealed terrarium is alive. We give it the best chance we can — substrate, charcoal, the right plants, the right glass — but conditions in your space (light, temperature, neglect) affect it from the moment it leaves the studio. We don't guarantee against death from environmental causes.

Liability

We're responsible for delivering the product you ordered, in the condition described. We aren't responsible for indirect losses — for example, water damage from a leak you didn't notice. Keep your terrarium on a surface that won't mind a few drops.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives. Any disputes will be heard in Malé.
